I find that I'm usually running them at 1/8 - 1/4 power and more than adequate for my small studio. The colored boots fit quite snugly over 7 soup bowl reflectors and are a bit of a wrestling match to put on, but work well if you only need one of the primary colors or a white diffuser. I'm frequently using 1 or 2 of the MS300's for backdrop lighting and the colored boots work well for this. I'm using a Godox X2T transmitter to fire these, and none have misfired yet. I bought the X2T because of the top hot shoe on it that lets me add my old flash trigger, so I can use both the old and Godox lights at the same time.
